Steven Charles Kanumba was born in Shinyanga Region on 8 January 1984 and became a Tanzanian actor and director, widely regarded as the finest screen actor the country has produced.
His films include The Devil's Kingdom, Uncle JJ, Oprah, Red Valentine and Crazy Love. He died in 2012, aged twenty-eight.
